Masala Corn Toast Recipe | Easy Corn Bread Toast

Masala Corn Toast is a snack. It is made with boiled corn, onions, capsicums, salt, black pepper and bread. This snack is easy to make. You can make it when you want something crunchy. It does not take time to make. You can have Masala Corn Toast for breakfast. It is also good, for evening snacks. Kids will love it in their tiffin. It goes well with a cup of tea.

The boiled corn is sweet. The onions are sharp. The capsicums are fresh. The black pepper adds a spice. When you put this mixture on bread and toast it it becomes warm and tasty.

Why This Toast Works So Well

Masala Corn Toast is really good because it is made with things that go well together. The corn is soft and sweet to eat. The onion and capsicum make it crunchy. The black pepper adds a heat but it does not make the toast too spicy.

The bread is, like the foundation. It gets crispy when you toast it. I like that the crunchy bread and the soft corn filling are textures it makes the recipe nice to eat. Masala Corn Toast is also a way to use up leftover boiled corn that you have at home.

Great for Everyday Snacking

This corn toast recipe is great, for when you need a snack. You don’t have to make any batter or complex filling. Just combine boiled corn with chopped veggies and spices put it on bread and toast it.

You can make it on a pan, tawa, toaster or even a sandwich maker. For kids go easy on the seasoning. If you like it stronger add chilli chilli flakes, cheese, coriander or some chaat masala.

How to Make It More Filling

To make this toast more filling you can add some cheese or crumbled paneer or boiled potato or mayonnaise. The cheese is really good because it gives a taste to the toast. The paneer is also good because it adds protein to the toast.. The potato is good too because it makes the filling heavier.

For a version of the toast you can use whole wheat bread or multigrain bread. You can also add vegetables to the toast, like carrot or tomato or cabbage or spring onion. It is an idea to keep the vegetables finely chopped so the filling spreads evenly across the toast.

Texture of the Toast

The taste of Masala Corn Toast is really nice. It is not too strong it is fresh. It has a little spice. The corn makes it taste sweet in a way. This sweet taste goes well with black pepper. The onion gives it a bit of a kick. The capsicum makes it fresh and nice to look at. If you put butter or ghee on the bread and then toast it the taste gets better.

Serving Ideas

I like to eat Masala Corn Toast when it’s hot. You can have it with tomato ketchup, chutney, mayonnaise or curd dip. Masala Corn Toast is also very nice, with a cup of tea or a cup of coffee.

You can cut the Masala Corn Toast into triangles or squares or small pieces that’re easy to eat.

For kids’ tiffin it is an idea to let the Masala Corn Toast cool down a little before you pack it. This way the Masala Corn Toast does not become soggy.. If you are having Masala Corn Toast in the evening you should serve it right away when the bread is still crispy and nice.

Aaji's Tip

Use boiled corn that is soft but not watery. Drain it properly before mixing with onion and capsicum. Toast the bread on medium flame so it becomes crisp without burning.

Notes
You can add cheese, green chilli, coriander, or chaat masala for extra flavour. If packing for tiffin, avoid adding too much moisture to the filling.
